The Principles of Lean

This hands-on course is a unique opportunity to experience the power of Lean Tools. You will become an employee of the Bright Idea Lighting Company for the day with the challenge of building Halogen Work Lights to meet customer demands. This four round exercise will expose you to many of the fundamental principles that make up the Lean system including 5S/Visual Management, Cell Design, Quality at the Source, Pull System, Kanban, Eight Types of Waste and more. Our simulation creates an atmosphere of fun and learning. Participants will focus on the application of these tools to their own organization to gain insight on value and waste.

Lean is the effective utilization of all people along with the identification and elimination of all waste in order to accomplish the following:
